Contacts went ok but we needed a lot more could have manually transferred via PC but to be fair this tool does it very slickly. Having tried the google backup and restore from approach it did not completely xfer everything we were expecting even though one can see the backups in the google store.

So it was worth the outlay - we are trying one phone first to see if we should upgrade our other one. Sadly it did not guide the USB items to turn it off though. It does guide quite welll in this bit on both sides.
The system needs to activate the developer option we already had done that on the old phone. The main transfer did usefully at least identify our phone models.

There are some annoyances in that the whatsapp transfer usefully says android phone on both sides. Seems to work, ok it was annoying that it didn't tell me at the start what i might need to pay to make it useful but hey we selected the 1Y 5 devices option for slightly less than £40. Seems to work ok so far, texts and whatsapp in particular
